ASADABAD (PAN): Pakistani forces fired a new barrage of missiles into eastern Kunar province, killing at least one person, an official said on Wednesday.
At least 25 missiles were slammed into Dangam district last night, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Wasifullah Wasifi said one Pakistani refugee was killed and four others were wounded in the overnight shelling.
Many families have migrated to Kunar from the Bajaur tribal region, currently the scene of a military offensive.
Late on Tuesday, Kabul.
President Hamid Karzai and his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari agreed on the joint probe at a meeting on the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Saudi Arabia.
Karzai asked Pakistan to end the incursions immediately. Relations between the neighbours would suffer if the assaults continued, he warned.
Zardari was quoted as saying that a military delegation with representatives from the two countries would visit the border to investigate the rocket and missile barrages.
