Van-tanker collision leaves 3 dead in Parwan

CHARIKAR): Three people were killed and four others wounded when a van crashed into a fuel tanker in the central province of Parwan on Saturday, an official said.

The incident occurred in the Tangi area south of Salang pass, the Salang district chief, Esmatullah Akbari, said.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News three occupants of the passenger van were killed and four others injured in the crash. The van was traveling to Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province.

The tanker’s driver has been arrested and being interrogated by police, he said.
