HERAT CITY (PAN): Two security guards were killed and five others wounded Wednesday morning when a motorcycle-riding suicide bomber blew himself up in front of a police training centre in western Herat province, officials said.
The explosives-packed motorcycle went off around 7am in front of the training facility in Adraskan district, causing the casualties, the police spokesman for western zone said.
Col. Abdul Rauf Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the guards worked for a private company, responsible for maintaining the security of the centre. No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
