GHAZNI CITY (PAN commander was killed along an associate in an operation by coalition forces in Rashidan district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Thursday.

The insurgent commander, Hafiz Sardar, was killed during a raid on a house on Wednesday night by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) chief for Ghazni.

Syed Amir Sadat told Pajhwok Afghan News Sardar was behind a string of attacks against Afghan National Army (ANA) and coalition forces in the district. Neither security personnel nor civilians suffered casualties in the operation, he concluded.
