JALALABAD (PAN): One passenger was killed and seven others were injured in a road crash on the busy Torkham-Jalalabad highway in eastern Nangarhar province on Friday, an official said.
The head-on collision occurred between two cars at 9:30am in the Samarkhel village of Rodat district, Nangarhar traffic chief, Ghulam Dastagir Rahimi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Witness Sahar Gul, linking the accident to rash driving, said the injured passengers were in critical conditions.
Nangarhar Civil Hospital Director Dr Humayun Zaheer confirmed receiving one injured man. The rest were taken to a private hospital.
