1 student killed, 28 injured at Kabul University

KABUL) One Kabul University student was killed and 28 others injured in violent clashes triggered by an attempt by Shiite students to perform ritual self-flagellation on campus, police said.

The clashes broke as Sunni students tried to stop Shiite students from self-flagellating inside the Kabul University mosque, Kabul Police Chief Mohammad Zahir said.
