KABUL): Afghan star cueist Raees Khan Senzai is out of the World Snooker Championship after he was defeated by Thailand’s Noppan Saengkam in the quarterfinal.

The National Olympic Committee spokesman, Mujibur Rahman Rahmani, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Senzai was knocked out of the competition after losing to the Thai player in the amateur category.

In the masters category, Afghan cueist Zamary Hasas also lost his match against Chrismear and was out of the world championship.
The World Snooker Championship is being held in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, where about 190 players, including 40 women, from 48 countries are competing in the eight-day tournament.
