ISAF commandoes kill militant chief in Maidan Wardak

MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN militant commander was killed and another was captured alive along with his two associates in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Tuesday.  

Provincial governor spokesman Shahidullah Shahid told Pajhwok Afghan News that on Monday night International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) commandoes conducted an operation in Bandiano area in Chak district, where two fighters were killed and a commander named Sabawon was nabbed.

ISAF soldiers also seized several weapons, hand grenades and other explosive materials.

In another clash between militants and the Afghan National Army in Shabudin area of Nargh district a militant commander Amanullah was killed.
