KABUL (PAN): The National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief Asadullah Khalid was wounded in an explosion targeting an NDS guesthouse in Kabul Thursday afternoon.

In a press statement, the NDS said Khalid survived the attack.  A family member told Pajhwok Afghan News that Khalid sustained “superficial injuries” in the attack and was taken to the NDS hospital in Kabul.

Security forces sealed the entrence to the guesthouse street shortly after the 130 p.m. attack.
