Germany to fund 12 projects in Baghlan

KABUL): A contract for a dozen development projects’ aid was signed on Saturday with the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) in northern Baghlan province.

Governor Sultan Mohammad Ebadi, Deputy Senior Civilian Representative of Germany Bernd Kuebart, as well as a representative of KfW Entwicklungsbank, other officials and tribal elders attended the signing ceremony.

A statement from the German Cooperation Organisation said 10 schools for 9,254 students and two clinics for 5,200 families would be constructed in Dohn-i-Ghori, Dushi, Khinjan, Bannu, Dehsalah and Pul-i-Hesar districts.

The contract is part of the Stabilisation Programme Northern Afghanistan (SPNA), financed by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and implemented by KfW Entwicklungsbank.
