TIRINKOT (PAN): Three security personnel and a civilian were killed during a roadside bombing in the central province of Uruzgan, officials said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday evening when a logistic vehicle of security personnel struck a roadside bomb in the Chaka Jaw area between Khas Uruzgan district and Tirinkot, the provincial capital, the deputy police chief said.
Col. Mohammad Aslam told Pajhwok Afghan News two agents of the National Directorate of Security (NDS, a policeman and a civilian were killed and two other policemen wounded in the explosion.
The provincial head of NDS, Dr. Khan Mohammad, confirmed the incident, but insisted that no intelligence agent had suffered casualties in the blast.
