JALALABAD (PAN): Twenty-seven weapons, captured in deferent districts of eastern Nangarhar province, were handed over to the Disbandment of Illegal Armed Groups (DIAG) on Wednesday, an official said.
The provincial police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News the weapons included 12 Kalashnikovs, as many pistols, a rocket-propelled grenade, a machinegun, two single-shot rifles and ammunition.
Brig. Gen. Abdullah Stanikzai said: “We are trying to recover more illegal weapons and submit them to DIAG.”
