GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Five insurgents, including a commander, were killed during a clash in the Andar district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Saturday.
The firefight between militants and security forces erupted in Sardar area, provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Zarawar Zahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
But a Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said only one fighters was killed. He claimed eight policemen were and six others wounded in attacks on a police patrol and a check-post. But security official spurned the claim.
