KABUL by eight wickets during a one-day match played in Pakistan’s culture city of Lahore on Monday, an official said.
Pakistan elected to field after they won the toss in the 50-over game, Afghan team manager Shafiqullah Stanikzai told Pajhwok Afghan News over the phone from the Gadafi Stadium.
Afghans were able to pile up 122 runs off 39 overs, with Mohammad Shehzad top-scored with 33 runs, followed by Javed Ahmadi with 23 and Karim Saddiq 14.
The Pakistani side chased the target in the 16th after losing two wickets, Stanikzai said. For Afghanistan, Daulat Zadran and Ezatullah Daulatzai shared one wicket each.
The 22-member Afghan team has been playing warm up matches with Pakistani clubs as part of the preparations in the lead up to inter-continental matches with Scotland.
