BAMYAN CITY (PAN condition of three hunger strikers is said to be deteriorating as their protest entered a third day on Tuesday, with their number increasing from four to more than a dozen in the central province of Bamyan, officials said.

Eighty-one Shiites were killed and more than 200 others, including some Afghans, were injured in the terrorist attack in Balochistan province.

The hunger strike initially involved four men, but their number rose to 13, including a woman. A civil society activist Mohammad Daud Wisal told Pajhwok Afghan News the condition of three strikers was critical and needed urgent medical attention.

“Our aim is to share the unbearable grief experiencing the children and women‘s attention to the genocidal acts being committed against the community.”

While Wisal vowed to continue the strike until the United Nations Security Council intervened into the systematic killing of Hazara minority.

UNAMA office acting head for Bamyan Elena Drozdik and Bamyan Governor Habiba Surabi visited the striking individuals on Tuesday, a day later the UN condemned the attack in Pakistan and offered condolences to families of the victims.
