NEW DELHI (PAN, India and the United States on Tuesday began in New Delhi a second round of trilateral dialogue on their common vision for a strong, peaceful and prosperous region.

Officials say the participants will discuss common challenges and opportunities, including the need for combating violent extremism, strengthening cultural exchanges and boosting regional trade and economic integration.

With Deputy Foreign Minister Javed Ludin heading the Afghan delegation, the US team is headed by Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake and Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Dan Feldman.

The inaugural round of the trilateral consultations was held at the Afghan Mission in New York on September 25 last year. The meeting reflects their commitments to transparency and coordination as Afghanistan continues with security, economic and political transitions.
