Karzai, May discuss counternarcotics drive

KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday urged Britain to continue training Afghan police and cooperate with his administration in the fight against narcotics.

During a meeting with British Home Secretary Theresa May, Karzai lauded UK’s assistance to his country in different sector. The president hoped Britain would continue to aid Afghanistaninfo-icon.

On her first trip to Kabul, May discussed with the president her meeting with Interior Minister Mujtaba Patang and efforts at strengthening counternarcotics police, a statement from Karzai’s office said.
