KANDAHAR (PAN): Two members of Afghan National Police (ANP) were mysteriously shot dead by unidentified gunmen in this southern city, an official said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday night in the 18th police district of the Kandahar capital, the governor’s spokesman, Javed Faisal, told Pajhwok Afghan News. The shooting is being invested.
A Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, claimed responsibility for the killings. He said the dead included ALP check-post commander, Gul Agha, and two of his body guards.
