Sisters among 3 dead in roof collapse

JALALABAD (PAN): Two sisters and a male family member died when the roof of their mud house caved in due to heavy rains in eastern Nangarhar province, residents said on Wednesday.

The incident took place at a camp on the Jalalabad-Torkham highway in the Rodat district on Tuesday night, resident Izzatullah told Pajhwok Afghan News. The dead included two sisters, he said. Another two family members were seriously injured.

Jalalabad Civil Hospital Director Dr. Humayun Zahir confirmed receiving two bodies and as many injured.
