KABUL’s troubled southwestern province of Balochistan on Friday evening.
Mehmood Jan Afridi was shot dead by unidentified assailants on a motorbike near a bus stop in Kalat town, according to DawnNews.
Kalat Deputy Commissioner Bashir Ahmed Bazai told reporters: “It appears to be an act of targeted killing.” The attackers managed to escape.
He came under fire inside a public call centre that he owned, The Express Tribune reported, saying the journalist died on the spot and his body was taken to the main district hospital for autopsy.
