72 kg hashish seized in Shiberghan

SHIBERGHAN (PAN): Police recovered 74 kilograms of hashish from a passenger vehicle in northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Sunday.

Placed in cartons, the drugs were confiscated during a cordon in Shibarghan, the provincial capital, Deputy Police Chief Col. Syed Zamanudin Hussaini told Pajhwok Afghan News.

One suspect was arrested in connection with the seizure that came in cooperation with the people, he said, adding the suspect was being reffered to the prosector’s office.

So for nearly 300 kg of drugs, including heroin, opium and hashish, have been seized in Jawzjan by security forces since the start of the Afghan calendar year.
