HERAT CITY (PAN): One militant commander was killed and two gunmen were captured in separate incidents in Kashk Kuna and Guzra districts of western Herat province, an official said on Tuesday.
Rebel commander Mullah Abdul Rahim was killed in the Kashk Kuna, provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Rahmatullah Safi, told a press conference.
In another incident, two suspected insurgents were detained on charges of complicity in the murder of a local attorney, he said.
