KABUL minister.

Last month, the Ministry of Higher Education announced results, declaring more than 43,000 of about 175,000 candidates eligible for admission to government-run universities. Another 13,000 students qualified for college admissions.

Hundreds of members of youth associations staged the protest, marching from Zarnigar Park to the parliament building and raising slogans against the minister concerned.

The protesters chanted “death to traitors, death to the corrupt people and down with slaves of Iran and Punjab.” While rejecting the results, one youth activist Israr Karimzai urged the president to sack the minister of higher education.

Member of Wolesi Jirga be appreciated. But who passed the test on the basis of cheating should be prosecuted…”

The demonstrators issued an open letter to the president, demanding the annulment of the results and removal of the higher education minister and members of entry test committee’s IT department.
