Nangarhar students enrolled in Khyber schools

KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): A large number of students from eastern Nangarhar province are enrolled in schools in Pakistaninfo-icon’s northwestern tribal region of Khyber, bordering Afghanistaninfo-icon, a report said on Saturday.

Pupils from Lalpura, Dakah, Guruco, Chazkai, Marko, Basawal and Gardi towns are registered with the political administration of the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATAinfo-icon).

Nawaz Khan Afridi, assistant agency educationinfo-icon officer, told the Associated Press of Pakistan, they afforded an alternative to Afghans living in insurgency-ravaged areas.

“Hundreds of Afghan students travel daily in search of studies in Khyber Agency, where primary, middle and high schools gladly accept them,” Khan said.
