JALALABAD (PANinfo-icon):  Four people were killed in two separate road accidents on the Kabulinfo-icon-Jalalabad highway in Sarobi district, an official said on Sunday.

Three people including a woman were killed and a fourth injured when a car plunged into Kabul River, Sarobi police chief, Lt. Col. Shah Ghasi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

“The victims’ bodies are yet to be fished out,” he said, adding the injured had been evacuated to Sarobi hospital. He would not comment on their condition.

Separately, a minor girl was killed after being hit by a car due to the careless driving in the same district. He said the driver had been detained by police.

However, a doctor at Sarobi hospital, Atta Mohammad, said seven injured people had been brought to the hospital. Five of them later succumbed to their serious wounds.
