KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday visited the under construction building of the Ministry of Defence, the Presidential Palace said.

Karzai was accompanied by Defence Minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi, advisor to president on national security, Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta, and the former Defence Minister Gen. Abdul Rahim Wardak in the visit, the statement added.

The six-storey building, having 750 rooms, would be built in 2.5 acres of land at a cost of $120million funded by US government, the statement added.

The construction of the complex was launched in 2010 and would be completed by the end of 2013, the statement added.
