Police raided 103rd block of Macro Ryan residential area late on Monday night and arrested some men with three women, the Kabul crime branch chief said.

Brig. Gen. Mohammad Zahir said Baghlan Mayor Syed Massoud Sadat and an attorney were among those detained.

Baghlan's Deputy Governor Qadim Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News Sadat had been suspended after his brief arrest and release. He said Sadat had reached home.
