KABUL): Six civilians and three local policemen were injured in a bomb blast that ripped through a shop in a bazaar in the Shakin district of southeastern Paktika province on Saturday, an official said.
The blast took place around 4pm in the Angor bus stand area, said the governor’s spokesman, Mukhlis Afghan, who added the injured were taken to hospitals in Shakin, Barmal and Argon districts.
He said five injured people were said to be in critical condition, blaming the Taliban for carrying out the blast. An investigation has been launched into the incident, Mukhlis said.
