KABUL.

Also the kingdom’s deputy foreign minister, Prince Abdul Aziz signed the agreement with Foreign Minister Dr. Zalmai Rassoul in Almaty, a Saudi newspaper reported on Saturday.

According to the Arab News, Saudi Arabia affirmed its support for regional and international efforts to end violence in Afghanistan.

“The Saudi government supports all regional and international efforts being made to wipe out violence and terrorism in that country,” Abdul Aziz told the conference on Afghanistan.

He added: “It requires international efforts to enable the people of Afghanistan to enjoy stability and peace, a prerequisite for achieving development and realising the legitimate aspirations of the Afghan people.”
