KABUL on Tuesday, the alliance said.

The service members’ deaths were announced in a brief statement from the NATO-led force that neither revealed the victims’ nationalities nor the exact location of the bomb attack.

Improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, a weapon of choice for the Taliban militants, account for the death of most foreign troops in Afghanistan.

With the latest fatality, the number of foreign troops killed in Afghanistan so far during the current year has increased to 45. Last year, ISAF lost 402 service members in the country.
