KHOST CITY (PAN): Family members of Muhammad Qasim, a soldier killed in a clash with Pakistani forces in eastern Nangarhar province, received cash support from tribesmen in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Saturday.

Kiramat Khan Khpalwak a member of the Hewadpal Zwak Foundation, told Pajhwok Afghan News tribesmen from Khost province has paid $9,295 to the victim’s family.

“We will always honour our heroes and try to provide more aid to relatives of the soldier killed in Goshta” he promised.

Akhtar Mangal, an elder of the Mangal tribe, said they had paid the family in recognition of the border policeman’s sacrifice for defending his motherland.
