KABUL): Non-resident ambassadors of several countries called on President Hamid Karzai at his office in Kabul on Monday, the Presidential Palace said.
Envoys of Qatar, Vietnam, Nepal, Nigeria, Argentina and Azerbaijan recently embarked on their diplomatic missions in Afghanistan, a statement the president’s office said.
Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul was also present at the meeting, where the president urged improved relations with the countries and exchanged views on several issues.
The envoys who have already met foreign ministry officials and High Peace Council (HPC) members shared their views Karzai.
