Taliban abduct 13 policemen in Uruzgan

TARINKOT (PANinfo-icon): Talibaninfo-icon militants abducted more than a dozen Afghan Local Police (ALP) members following in a clash in the Charchino district of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Sunday.

Mohammad Ismail, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban kidnapped 13 ALP officials and seized some posts during the attack that lasted several hours.

The assault that happened in Sarkholi area on Saturday evening cause no casualties, according to the district’s administrative head, who said security forces later launched an operation and regained control of the posts.
