Bomb makers held in Herat

HEART (PAN): Six bomb makers were arrested with some explosives in the Shindand district of western Herat province, an official said.

They were detained in Aziz Abad area, said Najibullah Najibi, the 207th Zafar Military Corps’ spokesman. He did not say when the six individuals were detained. A military operation codenamed Oqab is underway in four western provinces

Meanwhile, police claimed seizing equipment used for the making of alcohol from a house in Guzra district. Around 110 bottles of alcohol were also seized from the house, said police spokesman, Abdul Rauf Ahmadi. The house owner had escaped, but police were searching for him, he added.
