Kabul, Baku agree to boost ties

KABUL.

They noted with satisfaction the current state of bilateral relations and agreed to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul.

It added the two sides agreed to expand cooperation in diverse fields and launch negotiations on concluding a framework agreement for comprehensive cooperation and partnership.

Rassoul congratulated Mammadyarov on the Republic Day of Azerbaijan and expressed his gratitude for Azerbaijan’s consistent support for Afghanistan, particularly humanitarian aid and scholarships for Afghan students.

During his visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 2nd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, Rassoul was also received by President Ilham Aliyev and Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov.
