KABUL delegation recently visited Tehran for talks with Iranian authorities, an Iranian news agency reported on Saturday.
Led by senior Taliban figure Tayeb Agha, the team included former minister Hamdullah Nomani and ex-governor of Maidan Wardak Shamsuddin Pahlawan.
According to the Fars News Agency, the two sides discussed different topics of mutual interest. However, it gave no further details of the negotiations.
As part of track-2 diplomacy, aimed at promoting a political settlement in Afghanistan, Taliban’s representatives have paid similar trips to France, Germany and Japan in recent past.
