Education director stabs subordinate

GHAZNI CITY (PAN official in southern Ghazni province on Wednesday claimed the director had stabbed him with a knife.

Syed Rasul, in charge of the monitoring section at the education department, told Pajhwok Afghan News there was a shortage of desks in his office.

“When asked for supplying furniture today, the director attacked me with a knife,” the official said, adding his hand had been wounded.

Director Ehsanullah Nasher refused to speak on the issue, his deputy Zahooruddin warned reporters against filing any story regarding the incident.

Provincial council chief, Azizullah Poya, reached the education department on receiving a report about the attack. He accused the director of incompetency and promised an investigation.
