KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): President Hamid Karzai has said he was not in favour of US drone attacks that killed civilians in Pakistaninfo-icon and endorsed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s stand on the strikes.

A statement issued by Karzai’s chief spokesman Aimal Faizi quoted the president as telling a Pakistani TV channel Geo News that the issue of drone attacks was between Pakistan and the United States.

But he would stand with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif against drone attacks just as he stood against American military operations in Afghanistaninfo-icon where civilians were killed and wounded and their homes destroyed.

“I fully will stand with Pakistan against any activity by any foreign power that causes civilian casualties in Pakistan,” Karzai said.
