“The people of Helmand, especial Grishk district residents, are ready to defend the country and give a tit for tat response to attacks by neighbouring countries,” the Grishk district chief, Mohammad Fahim Musazoi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
“Pakistan has been fueling the war in Afghanistan over the past 35 years and as a result our economy was destroyed and the Afghans deprived of development,” he said.
The district council chief, Hajji Behlol Khan, said the Afghans continued to endure Pakistani attacks into Kunar, Nuristan and Nangarhar over the past three years despite their ability to defend the motherland with available resources.
Fatima, who spoke on behalf of women taking part in the gathering, said that hundreds of Helmand women had expressed their readiness to fight alongside their Afghan men against foreign aggression.
The district intelligence chief, Dr. Abdul Wali, said Afghan forces were capable to thwart any of kind of attack, but the government wanted to resolve every dispute through dialogues.
