KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): An International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) servicemember died on Saturday following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistaninfo-icon, the alliance said.

The death was announced in a brief statement from the NATO-led force that neither gave the soldier’s nationality nor the exact location of the attack. But mostly, US, British and Canadian troops are stationed in the Talibaninfo-icon’s southern heartland.

According to the website http://icasualties.org/, which tracks coalition casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq, so far 92 NATOinfo-icon soldiers, including 69 American and six British, have been killed in Afghanistan this year. Last year, 402 foreign troops were killed in the country.
