KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier was killed following an improvised explosives device (IED) in eastern Afghanistaninfo-icon, the alliance said on Sunday.

The death was announced in a brief statement from the NATO-led force that neither gave the soldier’s nationality nor the exact location of the blast. However, mostly US troops are stationed in the east.

According to the website http://icasualties.org/, which tracks coalition casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq, so far 93 NATOinfo-icon soldiers, including 69 American, have been killed in Afghanistan this year. Last year, ISAFinfo-icon lost 402 servicemembers in the country.
