KABUL (HPC) on Tuesday said the Afghans wanted the militants to enter constructive peace parleys with the government.
In a message, the council congratulated all Muslims — especially Afghans — on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, calling for peace and stability in the country.
HPC Chairman Salahuddin Rabbani asked elders and officials to encourage national unity and brotherhood.
The council remained committed to lasting peace, a goal that needed solid national unity and cooperation, the statement added.
“The council is committed to continuing intra-Afghans talks and take on board all compatriots on key issues facing the country,” Rabbani said.
