KABUL): Pakistani security forces killed seven militants during a raid in the tribal region of Darra Adamkhel, near the northwestern city of Peshawar, the military said on Sunday.
Six insurgent hideouts were destroyed during air raids in Darra Adamkhel and Orakzai Agency. A number of fighters were wounded, the army said, without giving a specific figure.
Late on Saturday night, two suspected militants were killed in a US predator strike in the Mir Ali sub-district of North Waziristan Agency. Two missiles were fired from the US drone on suspected militants riding a motorcycle in Mosaki village.
Local officials said the suspects were killed and the raid partially damaged nearby houses. Tribal administration officials told a local TV channel the victims were from Turkmenistan.
