ASADABAD (PANinfo-icon): Three civilians and a Talibaninfo-icon designated district chief have been killed in two separate incidents of violence in eastern Kunar province, the governor said on Saturday.

Shujaul Mulk Jalala said the Taliban shadow district for the Shegal district was killed in a drone strike on Friday afternoon.

Indentifying the slain insurgent leader as Wahidullah alias Khaksar, he said another insurgent was also killed in the attack.

Insurgents attacked a military base of foreign troops in the Sarkano district on Friday night, the governor said, adding some bullets fired by the foreign forces in response to the attack hit a civilian house, killing two children and a third person.

In northern Badakhshan province, security forces attacked and killed four insurgents in Yaftal Payan district, five kilometres away from Faizabad, the provincial capital, on Friday night, police said.
