KABUL): Power supply to around 30,000 residents of the Paghman district of central Kabul province improved with the replacement of old transmission lines, an official said on Monday.
Kabul Breshna Shirkat chief Abdul Wakeel told Pajhwok Afghan News the previous line measuring 12 kilometres had turned old and was unable to absorb load.
He said the project took four months to complete on a cost of 43 million afghanis. The department plans to replace all old transmission lines in Kabul city before the winter to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
