TIRINKOT (PAN officer was among four people shot dead by suspected insurgents in central Uruzgan province late on Wednesday, an official said.
Abdul Hadi Khan, the education officer for Khas Uruzgan district, was gunned down along with his son Aziz Ahmad and a co-villager named Hafizullah.
Abdullah Himmat, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News Khan came under attack in front of a local hospital on his way home from the district centre at 5.00pm.
The governor vehemently condemned the shooting, accusing the insurgents of demonstrating their hostility toward education.
