JALALABAD (PAN): At least 16 people, including the prosecutor, were wounded during an explosion in eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday, an official said.
The incident took place early in the morning when a bomb hit the provincial prosecutor’s car close to the tribal affairs department in Jalalabad.
Deputy police chief, Col. Masoom Khan Hashimi told Pajhwok Afghan News three of the prosecutor’s bodyguards and 12 civilians were wounded in the incident.
A doctor at the Jalalabad Civil Hospital confirmed receiving 16 wounded people, including a women from the site. The condition of one of the wounded is critical.
No one has so far claimed responsibility of the attack.
