GHAZNI CITY (PAN (HPC) chief Fazl Ahmad Tolwak, who sustained injuries during a roadside bombing in the southern province about a month back, has died in a hospital in India.

Also the Deh Yek district chief, Tolwak was travelling in a convoy to the district when a roadside bomb ripped through his vehicle in the Khushk area.

Two policemen were killed in the blast that injured Tolwak and a former district chief of the Andar district, Sher Khan Yousafzai.

Yousafzai had also died a few days ago in hospital in Ghazni and Tolwak succumbed to his wounds in India, an official at the provincial administration said.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said the coffin of Tolwak had arrived from India in Kabul. His funeral prayers would be offered today (Sunday).
