ISLAMABAD (PANinfo-icon): Four people were killed in a suspected CIA-operated drone strike in Pakistaninfo-icon’s tribal region of North Waziristan near the Afghan border on Saturday, officials said.

A source in the local political administration said the raid occurred around midday when a US drone struck a house in Mir Ali sub-district, leaving four people dead. Identities of the dead were not yet clear, he added.

It was the 19th drone attack since the start of 2013 in Waziristan by the US, which has long ignored Pakistan’s repeated protests over such strikes.

The latest raid happened in Hesokhel village, 25 miles east of Miranshah.
