KABUL): Nearly 300 illegal Afghan citizens were handed over to the Afghan border police by Pakistani officials, a report said on Monday.

Most of the 292 Afghans had been arrested in southwestern Balochistan province for travelling to the neighbouring without valid travel documents, a Pakistani newspaper said.

According to the Business Recorder, the individuals were freed from Quetta jail after completing their sentences and were handed over to Afghan officials at the Friendship Gate in Chaman.
